ABOUT US

Adulting can be difficult

According to a National Population Health Survey by Ministry of Health, Singapore, 18-29 year olds had the highest prevalence of poor mental health as compared to other age groups! There are many potential reasons for this such as this age group experiencing many uncertainties amidst major life changes, conversations around these difficulties not being normalised, and some level of confusion around navigating resources. Transitioning from school to work can be an especially confusing time moving from a controlled environment of sorts to having to navigate adulting. This has real life implications on individuals, communities, and the economy in Singapore and beyond. That being said, although youth may face a lot of uncertainties, they may also be looking for additional support and have the autonomy to invest their time and energy into doing so.

Being a catalyst of change

Togather for Good’ (TFG) is a collective seeking to co-create a more compassionate society, starting from the self. In this case, compassion encompasses 3 aspects of notice, feel, and act (in self and others). Why start from self? Change needs to happen at all levels. At TFG, with an understanding that systems are made by and of individuals too, we are seeking to nudge change in a positive direction by getting individuals to be more compassionate. We believe in that doing so, there will be ripple effects in individuals being able to do more for themselves and others.

TFG’s interventions, designed with our value of compassion and using an intersectional* lens, look at equipping individuals with relevant tools and resources to not only notice their feelings and thoughts and to sit with their emotions, but to then also act upon them when they are ready to. This includes equipping individuals with knowledge and tools to better understand and process their feelings, seek support, hold space for conversations, and be a part of co-creating better environments for others.

With the recognition that there are others doing the good work in the space, TFG's mission is to work with and enhance the existing mental well-being ecosystem to scale positive impact and create a more compassionate society. We do this by working with different stakeholders across the 3’P’ sectors who are coming Togather for Good. As a catalyst of change, we design collaborative interventions and experiences to bridge the gap between organisations such as corporates, schools, and community organisations where individuals sit and partners who provide services and products.

Join us in engaging organisations, empowering individuals, and elevating lives and communities!

*Intersectionality is a framework for understanding how aspects of a person's social identities can combine to influence their lived experiences.
